"Daddy, the only thing I found out today is I don't want to be Jewish."

The sad thing about this is that the activity was clearly well intentioned. And I wonder how many kids came away with a powerful new understanding of what it means to be a persecuted minority. But the only thing we hear is the complaint. It would be interesting to hear the other side of the story.

UNfortunately as a Rav once said "There is no business like Shoah business"
The Holocaust should be taught-but not as a major part of chinuch-why should our kids want to be Jewish -if they think we are constantly being persecuted. BTW due to the nature of Kinot etc we may have a false opinion. I believe Baron points out that in Europe during the 100 years of the Crusades the Jewish population actually rose!
